Tomahawk Lodge

The cabin was perfect from location to the amenities. Seven of us stayed at this cabin and had plenty of room. We loved being closer to Cades Cove and off the beaten path of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg though they were a close drive to visit.

Much needed trip the only comment I have is that I would like to see safety bars in bathrooms shower was very slippery maybe safety steps in tub and shower

Tomahawk Lodge is in a great location just off Wears Valley Road. Hot tub was awesome and the cabin decorations are great. Kitchen was stocked with every needed item. The master bed has a firm mattress that was extremely comfortable. One note, the couch appears to be in need of replacement. It tends to sink when sitting down. Other than the couch, we would highly recommend this cabin.

The cabin was spacious and well appointed It made an ideal space to greet the guests of my son’s wedding. The surrounding balcony was a wonder place to gather and relax.

We stayed in Tomahawk Lodge and will definitely be back. It is a great location if you want to be outside the hustle and bustle of busy town but close enough to get there quick. My family of 6 fit comfortably could definitely fit 8. 15 minute drive to be right on the parkway of Pigeon Forge. The cabin was exactly as pictured but with new tv’s in every room. Huge porch with rocking chairs to enjoy coffee in the mornings. We had no issues at all while staying and would love to come back again. If you are looking for a secluded cabin but no crazy drive up the mountain this is it!

We stopped by the management company to inquire about things to do and the staff there was very nice as well. We will be back to the area. Definitely keep all trash put away and remember to clean the drip pan on the grill because you will likely have bears as visitors.

Our Family Trip was a great success! We truly enjoyed our Cabin! The Cabin was clean and comfortable .The Office Staff was especially nice and easy to deal with, Thanks for a great Stay!

We spent our family new year here and it was a beautiful cabin only problem we had was it could have been cleaned a little better it was very dusty and not really detailed clean but other than that it was great

Very good stay. Close to 321 but tucked back in the woods for privacy which was nice. Cabin was comfortable, clean with a very well stocked kitchen and the hot tub is pretty new. We found the beds very firm which is not our preference but overall we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others.

We had an excellent time. The cabin was beautiful and in a beautiful location. Really enjoyed the pool and pond going with the rental.

We had 3 TV’s and none worked. Light bulbs were burned out in multiple areas. Not very clean either. We have stayed with Cove Mountain for years but will think twice before staying again. I think the thing that was so bad was the very unprofessional attitude of staff at the office. Very disappointed

Our stay here was great as usual. Have stayed at many different cabins but this is the only one with everything you could need in the kitchen,as we usually cook instead of going out to eat because of wait times. Its always clean and inviting. Always very quiet and private.We very much enjoy staying here.

Everything was fine except the beds could use some new mattresses. And the hot tub could use some tlc.

It was a wonderful experience staying in the Tomahawk Cabin!! When I walked in I was so amazed by the beauty of it all! The location was great and even though I didn’t use the pool it was great to have that option, and I’m a person that loves fishing so I’ll definitely take advantage of the pool and fishing next time I book another vacation there! All In All it was a peaceful and beautiful stay!!

There,s nothing I have to say negatively about Tomahawk Lodge. It was wonderful. Was stock with just about everything you need. The kids loved the upstairs. The adults love the downstairs. I especially loved the master bedroom with the sitting nook.

Had a great time at the Tomahawk. We appreciated all of the kitchen utensils and pans because we stayed in and cooked a lot (it rained a couple days). Everything was nice. Location was close to everything. Take the back roads to avoid traffic. Didn't mind the older TVs in bedrooms but glad there was a big screen in the living room. Cabin was clean, if not **** and span. Saw a few small rubber bands from a previous braces mouthed tenant in the master bath. Nice Jacuzzi tub in master bath. Outside Jacuzzi was old but still worked great. Beds are firm but fair. :) Loved all the electric candles and teddy bears around the cabin. Nice touch! There is not much of a view but the ponds and creek were nice. Somewhat close to neighbors but when trees are in bloom you probably don't notice them as much. Might need to turn down the hot water heater. I liked it hot but had to warn the kids when getting in the showers that the hot water gets scalding hot. In all, this was a very nice cabin for the price. Far enough away from the madness and crowds but within 15 to 20 minutes to most everything you would want to do. Thanks for letting us borrow it!

We absolutely loved this cabin. There was plenty of space for our family of five. I really liked there were two rooms side by side so we didn’t have to worry about our five year old and three year old sleeping upstairs. We also loved the location; it’s close to hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and also the quite side of the mountain, Townsend. We also loved the pool access. We will definitely stay here again!

All in all our experience was great. I do believe for the cost to rent this cabin, it could use a few upgrades but we had a wonderful time and made everything work.

TVs are super old and really should be replaced but for as much as we watch TV, it worked
Washer and dryer are pretty old but do what you need them to do
Need more towels since we had 8 people...we had to wash them
The fan in the loft sounds like it is going to fall out of the ceiling when on high. Had to keep it on low to not have the shaking and crackling
Fan controller didn't work and probably just needs batteries but there weren't any in the house to replace
Loft sink doesn't drain well and probably just needs some draino applied
Hallway bathroom toilet was leaking but one of our guys fixed it
The dryer hose was kinked and blocked but one of our guys fixed it

This cabin had every thing anyone would need.. Was very clean ! Deck had a lot of new chairs . They were wonderful.. Only bad thing we couldn't stay longer.. This was our first time visiting Tennessee and Tomahawk Lodge did not disappoint! The cabin looks exactly like the photos and everything was comfortable, homey and in working order with many kitchen amenities and fit our adult party of 7 comfortably. We really enjoyed the location. We even had nightly visitors at the patio door...a raccoon and black bear! My only minor complaints would be that upon our arrival at 4:30 pm the lodge still hadn’t been cleaned and a call to let us know this would have been appreciated. Also, no one was able to catch any fish in the onsite pond the entire week we were there. Looking forward to coming back and have spread the word about this amazing cabin!

This was our second time booking with Cove Mountain. The first time was 20 years ago!! But we had such a great cabin the first time and experience we decided to limit our search and just book with then again. This time we needed a larger cabin so we booked Tomahawk Lodge for 7 nights over Easter for our extended family. Great location!! The location is within a short drive to all the attractions and especially to the national park. The cabin is secluded in the trees away from other neighbors. The open concept allows for easy living with a larger group. The kitchen has all the needed cooking utensils and more. We enjoyed the large porch every evening but I have to say that the wooden rocking chairs on the porch should be replaced due to the danger of exposed nails. We had one incident when we came back and discovered we did not have water. After calling Cove Mountain Reality they were out within 10 minutes and discovered that because the cabin was on a shared well with the next door cabin and they were replacing a hot water heater, the water had been turned off. We just had to wait until their work was done and it was back on. Overall we were impressed with how quickly Cove Mountain. responded. The app we were given allowed for quick check in,etc. The cabin was clean. We would definitely stay at Tomahawk again and everyone in our family agrees. Thanks Cove Mountain for recommending this cabin when I called and asked for suggestions based on our needs.

This place is convenient for location to a pool, some stores and restaurants in wears valley, but not at all private, no views, it was very clean and the folks at Cove Mountain Realty were very friendly and helpful.

This was a nice cabin, the 3 king beds allowed everyone comfortable sleeping accommodations. It is easy to access and has a nice view of the lake. Staff was helpful and friendly in taking care of a couple of small maintenance issues.

The only negative was the slats on every wooden chairs on the deck were all rotten. Our 5 year old sat on one and it broke. Other than that, the cabin was very well stocked and the location was private and convenient.

We have been renting cabins here for about 10 years and always enjoy the stay. This cabin is nicely designed to accommodate 6 adults and we also had a 4 year olds and baby. The cabin is very well maintained. I recommend this cabin. You will not be disappointed. Cove Mountain Realty is always hospitable as are the people of east Tennessee.

I recently rented Tomahawk Lodge for a week for 5 adults, and 2 grandchildren to stay at for my daughter's wedding. The cabin was the perfect hub for our week-long activities. Close enough to Great Smoky Mountains NP for easy access, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge to enjoy some serenity. The drive to either is not very long, and we preferred taking the route through GSM, via Little River Rd to Gatlinburg. It is quicker and a beautiful drive.

The cabin was very clean and welcoming (the minor exception was the final dishwashing by the previous occupants; their effort was lacking and wasn't caught by housekeeping, but was easily remedied by giving the plates, bowls and cups another run through the dishwasher). The decor and homey touches of the cabin made all of us feel like it was our home. There are plentiful towels, pillows and extra blankets.

The available photos and previous reviews failed to mention the half-bath in the loft area, so there are two and a half baths, one adjacent or in each of the three sleeping areas. Which does bring up the point of the cabin's rated sleeping capacity; there are three king-sized beds provided. One in the master bedroom, which has an attached bath with both tub and shower; and a very nice sitting area with two padded recliner rockers. Another king bed is in the second main floor bedroom, which has the main floor full bath and laundry room just a step away from the bedroom door. The third king bed is in the open loft area; which by the way has a breakfast/snack area attached, and the mentioned 1/2 bath. These 3 areas provided plenty of room for our five adults (and two young grandchildren), but I didn't really see where the 4th sleeping area was that provided the 8-person rated capacity. Unless the main floor leather sofa or loveseat unfold into hide-away-bed(s) that are included in the figures...something for other larger groups to consider.

I have been wanting to stay in this cabin for many years. The cabin has a walk around deck with a hot tub a charcoal grill . The three bedrooms are very spacious. The master bedroom has a reading nook with recliner you can relax in after a day outing. With a huge master bath. Second bedroom is just as nice. There is a second bathroom just out of the second bedroom. The loft was great very spacious my son and his family were able to put a oueen size air mattress a the foot of there bed for my grand babies. And still had plenty of room to walk around. All bedrooms were kings size beds. You will not go wrong RENTING this cabin it was awesome. Oh ya just below the cabin is a creek the flows. It's just a short walk to the pool. The cabin sit back a is secluded. All the amenities you would need is in the cabin.
