Run to the Hills

This was a beautiful place to stay. Well kept, clean, and had everything we needed. Gorgeous views, lots of outdoor things to do nearby, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The drive up the mountain to get to the cabin was very interesting. Be prepared if there is snow or ice. It’s Steep and winding.

Our 2023 stay at RTTH was relaxed and uneventful. Place is well maintained under new ownership.

My husband and I have stayed at this cabin almost every year for the last several years. It's perfect for us. It's comfortable, has all the amenities we'd like, and has giant windows to see the awesome view. Sadly the view is starting to get blocked by trees just beyond the deck. In another year or two, you won't be able to see into the distance.

The cabin is great and the views were amazing. We had alot of rain but still had a great time. On the first day we had a lizard in bathroom but our bathroom dragon (a my son called it) didn't want to stay. Some members of our party did get to see bears right by our cabin! Getting up to cabin was a bit scary definitely no joke once we figured our own way up and down it wasn't so bad. The cabin was worth it along with the views! We enjoyed our stay alot. Thank you Cove Mountain!

We had stayed previously in 2016 and refound this cabin again. It is not a huge cabin but is just the right size for the 5 of us. The view is amazing and we got to see a momma bear and her cub right near the cabin. The deck furniture is awesome along with the gazebo in case you need shade. The kitchen is stocked well though we didn't use it much to be honest. We will be back again to this cabin. The only minor inconvenience is the floors do creak pretty good when you walk on them. No smearing around. Love t his cabin

The cabin is great we loved the views! Very clean and comfortable. A little scary getting up here but only took a day to get used to it. Even with the rain we had still had a great trip and very nice stay. Thank you for having us.

The location was great and easy to find. The property was clean with a nice view of the mountains. It's close to Townsend and several nice restaurants. I recommend the Abbey or the Trailhead. Dancing Bear is a very nice upscale restaurant. We had a bear walk right onto the deck one evening like he owned the place. I have no problems recommending the property.

Very, very nice cabin and location. The view was amazing. We will be staying here again.

The cabin and views were above average. We could see the mountain views without obstructions. The deck furniture was new and top of the line. The cabin was clean, and the furnishings were very good with new looking appliances. The negatives were parking space, sulfur water smell, small TV and too much afternoon sun.

We've stayed at this cabin several times and this is the first time we've had any issues. The air conditioner stopped working a couple days into our trip, and with the 90+ temperature and the large windows, it was quite hot in the cabin. I put in a maintenance form through the app and someone was there to fix it within 20 minutes. We were on our way out at the time, so we left them to it and it was fixed when we got back. My only comment would be it would have been nice to get an email back saying it was fixed since they did email when they were on the way there. Still very pleased!

We had a lovely visit for one week. The cabin was clean. Some parts of the cabin have been updated including the deck, kitchen and bathroom. Nice! I am sure other changes will come in time, but it doesn't interfere with staying there. For example, the south side of the house (where the deck is) seems to need repair on the exterior wall and some of the deck furniture needs to be retired. The kitchen does need a few more tools to be fully functioning (for example, we had to buy our own can opener and left it for the next guest). The deck offers magnificent views, including a young bear we saw one evening. Parking is tight, especially if you bring more than one car as we did, but we managed. Also, be prepared for a steep road to access this cabin.
This is our third time staying on this mountain and we can't imagine a better location for true relaxation and beauty.

We loved staying here at your beautiful cabin with amazing views of God’s creation! We saw 9 bears at Cades Cove! We loved hiking at Laurel falls & going to Dollywood for the Christmas shows & lights!!! We enjoyed eating at Paula Dean’s & the Old Mill. It was a great week!!! We will definitely be back!

What a great cabin. This cabin has beautiful views and was perfectly stocked. When we arrived the cabin was clean and we really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. You can’t beat the sounds of wood burning. It’s so relaxing. It rained most of the time we were there but we still enjoyed our mini vacation.

Great mountain escape. Felt like a home away from home. Any amenities one could ask for. Very clean. Quiet and peaceful area. Beautiful views. Would highly recommend.

Cove Mountain Rentals provided great customer service and communication. Easy check-in and responsive staff. The cabin "Run for the Hills" was clean and the floor plan was great for a couple or a small family. The view was stellar! Huge view from the balcony and front room with lots of nooks and crannies to keep our interest for days.

Very clean and well decorated. Felt like my home away from home.

We had the best time staying in this cabin. We had a beautiful view of the mountains. We seen a bear that came up on our porch while we were eating lunch. I think we scared each other!Haha There is so much to see and do that a week just isn`t long enough to do it all in. We`ll definitely be back next year.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and the view can't be beat. My family loved sitting on the deck or in the hottub to look at the mountains. The view from inside is almost as good with floor to ceiling windows. The kitchen and bathrooms were top notch and the beds were comfy. The Foosball table and board games were great when we needed something else to do. We did not see any bears around, but I was almost relieved because they have walked on the deck before according to previous guests! I would suggest packing light because the road to get to the cabin is no joke, but our minivan made it. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay at Run to the Hills. The weather was nice for January and we spent all weekend on the huge porch. The view was incredible and we had a great relaxing weekend!

The cabin and views were BEAUTIFUL! Super clean, paved road the entire way up, hosts were exceptionally helpful. The only disappointment was not seeing any bears haha! It’s about a 25 minute (very scenic)drive to the attractions in Pigeon Forge and there are plenty of other neat shops about 10 minutes away like you’re heading for Pigeon Forge. There’s so much to do and see that we didn’t get to do everything and were discussing when to return before we even left! We will certainly be returning to this cabin in the future! I’d give 10 stars if I could

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The kitchen was fully stocked and we we loved the wood burning fireplace. The cabin was clean and exactly what we needed. The only drawback were the neighbors (who are close on both sides) but that’s nothing the owners can really prevent. Once the party checked out next door we were able to enjoy the beautiful deck again. I read a lot about the parking being limited but we were able to get two cars into the driveway just fine.

This was a perfect cabin for the start it our week in the Smokies. It was well maintained and sitting in the rocking chairs on the wrap around balcony brought true peace. We were able to see the colors change daily. The owner had fall decorations up to make it feel even more like autumn. If you’re on the fence. Just do it

We arrived at the cabin and had no issues getting in. The code worked the first time. The cabin was very clean and laid out nicely. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was really nice. There are stairs behind the hot tub that a bear can easily access, there should be a better way to block those off. The only other real issue was the floors were extremely squeaky. I went to get water at night and the floors in the living room area were very very loud. Other than these issues the cabin was great and the views were outstanding. We used the grill every night. The last night, we got a visit from a bear (cub). He walked on the neighbors deck then came to ours and jumped up on the door, then wandered off. Just looking for food.

We had a wonderful time. The cabin had one of the best views I have ever seen. We went out everyday on new adventures so we weren't at the cabin too much. The only thing I would say is to update the furniture and decor, put a bigger tv in the living room and put a tv on the left. Besides that, this cabin is on point. Thanks for having us!

The cabin was nice and the views were incredible. We love renting from Cove Mountain and will continue too. HOWEVER..parking at this cabin is terrible. We had to back down the dark road to the cabin b/c there is no room to park. If you pull in straight there is no room to turn around. Aside from that negative everything else is a positive.

"Run to the Hills" is the perfect cabin for a get away and to enjoy a spectacular view. It has everything you need and is very comfortable and clean. We hope to return during fall next year.

The location of this cabin is amazing - high up a paved mountain road - on top of the world. The cabin has a spacious deck with new chairs from which to admire the beautiful mountain view. Inside, the remodeled kitchen is well appointed with all new appliances. It maybe needs under counter lighting! The squeaky floor in the living room takes a bit of getting used to, however nobody can sneak up on you. We both loved the interior dcor, especially all the floral decorations. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable, but the hot tub pump just outside was noisy at night.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and would come back again. One of the best cabins we have rented in the Smokies!!

Need to update the pictures from the deck. Trees have grown and you don’t have a full view of the mountains depicted in the pictures.

Nice clean cabin with great views. Cove Mountain realty always has nice cabins, never a bad experience.

We have used Cove Mountain Rentals for about 15 or more years, always extremely satisfied. This cabin however was a little disappointing. The view is magnificent, however we think the cabin could use a little updating. The deck/railing, seems to been in need of some work as it tends to dip on the end near the hot tub and the master bath really needs some TLC.
