This is a nice secluded cabin, very private. Firewood was stacked outside which was nice. Hot tub is almost new, but the jacuzzi tub jets didn't work. The road to this cabin is treacherous. It's narrow, steep, and has many potholes and bumps. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

This place is a gem and provides the perfect privacy.

We enjoyed our stay. Perfect to walk dogs.

Always have a good time when we visit Wears Valley. First time at this cabin, had no problems except could have used a few more pans and utensils but nothing to get upset about. Loved the cabin, will definitely stay there again and will always use Cove Mountain.

Very nice like the location, coffee pot did not work, and place was neat but needed dusting.

Not a bad little cabin,was clean except for a bit dusty,bedroom ceiling fan broke with lots of dust,fixtures quite dusty as well,only used master tube shower, newer hot tube really nice and clean, older carpet in the bed room but no Oder. Road to cabin 4x4 or Truck road needs work. We would visit again 25-30min from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Great food near by and Coffee.

We loved the cabin. There was one issue with the hot tub which was unusable which I wasn't happy with because that is one of the reasons I wanted the cabin. Also, the back deck view was blocked by really tall trees. Our over all experience was great.

We had a wonderful time! The only thing we had trouble with is finding where to put the extra trash, and we had some trouble getting up to the cabin. If we had known we would have brought a different car.

This is one of the best cabins we have rented! Been vacationing in the Smokies for 26 years, but first time in Wears Valley. Cabin is only 1 mile from parkway, but takes 15 minutes to drive. If you are used to mountain roads or logging roads, then you will be fine on it, but go slow. We had an F-150 2wd and we were good. Enjoyed all the amenities of the cabin. Everything worked as should. Recliner was amazing in front of the fireplace. Sounds of the forest will relax you. Slight view of Cove Mountain through the trees. Mountain laurel was in full bloom around the cabin. Awesome! Also, awesome hot tub! TV in bedroom was so big,felt like I was in a theater. Our dog, Baxter, loved it. He relaxed as much as us. We hiked up and down the road, played in the yard and he is very cabin friendly. Saw a bear on the road down by the parkway. He was interested in the dumpster of the business at that corner. Lol. You will even pass an old farm still in operation with cows! I heard them in the night up the mountain. Very cool! The decompression that I felt was so therapeutic, that I checked to see if anyone had reserved the night of our departure. Nope, it was open. I called the office and in 5 minutes we were staying an eighth night. Our longest stay in the Smokies to date.

The cabin was cute however wasn’t very clean when we arrived and also had a large ant problem.

It's semi quiet area since there is 5 or 6 more cabins down the dead end road. There is traffic back and forth throughout the day and can hear others talking. Access road is basically a private driveway that has minimal maintenance.
It's quieter than the touristy area in town.
It worked fine for me and my furry traveling companion.
Manager was quick to answer and help solve a few issues.
I wanted no neighbors and complete quiet this cabin does not have that but is a fairly good cabin.
You get what you pay for and this one worked for me.

I love renting from Cove Mountain and have for over 15 years. Cabins are always clean and well equipped. Details are correct on the web page, as how many it sleeps and amenities. This cabin was decorated well and plenty of room for a couples get away. The road getting to the cabin would have been a challenge for non- 4-wheel drive but we were prepared after reading the reviews. We made sure to get back to the cabin before dark. This was my first time renting a pet friendly property and we loved being able to take our dogs for the long weekend. We brought kennel cages to use while we were away from the cabin since it was a new place for our dogs. Other people had not. The cabin was very clean and no smell but there are many stains on the bedroom carpets. May want to remove the carpets. Other than stains, we were completely satisfied and pleased with the property. We even got a visit one evening, right in the front yard. A mama bear and 3 cubs were in the yard for around 30 minutes, Just out for a stroll. We spent our mornings on the back porch relaxing and enjoying the view. We hit some of our favorites while visiting, The Old Mill and Apple barn. Also l love Harpoon Harry's. We will rent again from Cove Mountain, I normally do 2 trips each year.

Secluded cabin. Perfect for a couple get away. Road was a challenge but we just took it slowly. First time traveling with our dogs and renting a pet friendly cabin. Bathroom with the large tub was a perfect place for kennel cages. Being our first time with a pet friendly cabin, I would recommend removing the carpet in the bedroom. Stained from pets that had accidents but the cleaning crew did a great job and there was no pet odor Cabin was equipped with everything we needed. Had a few unexpected visitors. A mama bear and three cubes visited in the front yard for an evening visit. We kept our distance and enjoyed watching them. It was a perfect place to enjoy a relaxing weekend.

Water was extremely hot and we had a problem with cintapides and roaches while there we also noticed that there was termite damage but the bed slept nice and the hot tub was great the roadway to get up to the cabin needs major work that was not told to us how bad and steep it was but overall we had a great experience and would probably stay in another cabin just not moose tracks the location is great super close to everything

We liked the cabin. Clean upon arrival. This is the perfect cabin if all we were doing was staying at the cabin. The road up to cabin definitely needs four wheel drive. It was very private and quiet. We had mouse droppings the first day (we are in the woods) but he didn’t get anything since the little food we brought was in the refrigerator. There is an old stain on carpet in the bedroom but the cabin did not smell. The hot tub was in working order but you just have to hold down the jet button and they will come on.

My family has rented from Cove Mountain for many years. We first discovered Cove Mountain around 2005 when my parents rented a cabin for a family vacation and we came back many times after that. My mom always said that she liked renting from this company and never had a bad experience and I have to agree! I have since rented from Cove Mountain as a adult. My first rental was in 2010 when my husband proposed. The second time we rented from Cove Mountain was March 2022. During our most recent stay, our vacation was cut short due to wildfires. In my opinion, Cove Mountain is a honest rental company. Cove Mountain refunded us the two nights that we were unable to stay due to the mandatory evacuation. I would definitely rent a with Cove Mountain again in the future. The cabin was beautiful and peaceful. My son loved relaxing in the hot tub and thought the sleeper sofa was super comfortable. I’m already planning my 2023 Smoky Mountain vacation.

Road was a challenge, cabin was great!

This was our first family vacation with our dogs and it was a blast. The road to the cabin was a little rough, I have an edge st so I didn’t have a problem but if anyone else had a littler car the pot holes would probably be an issue. However the cabin itself was amazing, we would most definitely stay again.

We loved the seclusion of the cabin and the amenities. The road is a challenge, but doable. I assume some of the maintenance and cleaning is not being addressed as some of the items I will mention have been mentioned in past posts. The screens are nearly out of the doors, the jacuzzi tub does not work, could definitely use a picnic table outside, or at least told to bring some seating for the fire pit. The cabin wasn't real clean cob webs and dust, as well as the carpet was either stained from pet accidents or had not been cleaned. As a pet owner we pay extra to have a pet with us. I should think the carpets should be cleaned or replaced. It's obvious a pet has done some damage there. A lot of the woodwork had been either chewed or scratched up by previous pets and the blinds in the living room were tore up. It's too bad the cabin isn't cleaned and maintained better, because it's a beautiful cabin and in a great location.

This place is so cozy, my wife and I loved it. While it's true that it could use some updates and work, it's not in bad shape. It was nice and quiet, and was only about 20-30 minutes from everything we wanted to do.

I do wish the signage to get up to the cabin was a little better, but once you get up the first hill there are signs to follow.

The carpets could use a good cleaning, but the furniture was pretty clean. The bed is a bit stiff, but wasn't the worst bed I have ever slept on, and the hot tub worked great. The water gets hot, and the pressure is great. The fridge is cold, and the oven and microwave work great.

I would totally stay here again without even thinking about it.

We stayed here in early August 2021. The cabin was great, clean and secured. The only two down sides were that you had to drive a lot to get to any of the attractions and if you decided to rent this cabin make sure you have a vehicle that sits high off the ground. The road to get to the cabin is very rough with lots of very large pot holes. Our over all experience was great. We were just looking to get away.

Beautiful views. Quiet and secluded. We had a great time waking around and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. Must have a higher vehicle to get up to the cabin. Luckily no one was ever coming the other way ok the road.

Being that it was our first time to the area we did not know what to expect. I missed some information about the location exactly and how to find the cabin. I think that there should be an emphasis made primarily on how difficult it will be to reach the cabin if you do not have a 4x4 vehicle. Overall, we had a great experience, except for stressing everytime we had to drive up to the cabin as our small vehicle struggled and at times completely stopped.

Was nicecand quiet. Cute cabin. However cabin needs some attention. Furniture needs to be cleaned and carpet. The road up was scary. Overall a nice stay..

Easy to check in and was able to Check in early the place was very clean loved the hot tub on the back porch the roads were a lil steep getting to the place just out side of town in the mountains

The cabin was great and in a great location. Cabin in good condition. The only negative was the road to the cabin. With steady and sometime heavy rains, the washouts were even worse.

We loved the seclusion of cabin .Loved Wears Valley very peaceful.The road to cabin very tricky, if snow it would be hard to reach.If you meet someone on road it will be hard to pass.We loved the yard we had fur babies with us. They love to travel.Cabin needs a few updates,carpet removed,screen doors repaired, possible another bed upstairs. Could use new mattress on bed downstairs. We loved the layout of cabin.Light fixture above stove needed cleaning .For future decorate for Christmas .I was disappointed no tree up.I watch too much Hallmark movies.LOL

It is exactly as described the road in is rough but we made it ok. The cabin was clean and cozy,it could use a little updating but overall comfortable. A new mattress would be great! If the trees were thinned or trimmed you would have a fantastic view. A bed upstairs would be a good bonus . If you are looking for peace and quite and privacy this is the place.We also appreciate being able to take our fur baby.we liked the location it's not too far to everything.

The cabin was as described and very clean upon arrival. My only issue I had was the pots and pans to cook with in the kitchen were old and rusty, so I was not comfortable cooking on them. The fireplace may need to be cleaned soon as some smoke did come in the house a bit as opposed to up the fireplace. Other than those minor occurrences our stay was wonderful and we certainly enjoyed our time. The gravel road to the cabin is quite scary, but so worth it for the views. Overall would recommend this cabin.

Staying here was so peaceful and secluded! One thing to know about booking this cabin is the drive up to it is very rough with a lot of ruts. There’s also some steep hills to climb and descend. Our AWD SUV made it with no hassle. It has a back area that’s flat and the front is too so your pet is able to roam and use the bathroom without problems. It was a very comfortable stay and would make a great honeymoon or anniversary get away.

My boyfriend & I both love the outdoors & hiking, so we decided to plan a somewhat last minute long weekend getaway down to the Smokey Mountains. After some research, I came across Moose Tracks, available & at a reasonable cost. I'm so glad that I did! We had an amazing time & can't wait to go back! The cabin was cozy, we loved the back deck, firewood was provided on the side of the cabin for us & the beautiful fireplace made for a cozy, romantic evening for us after coming back from our daytime adventures! We didn't see any bears on our trip, but am hoping that we will the next time we go back. Only a few negatives, the silverware could definitely be replaced, from where previous renters stated in the memory book, I probably would do away with letting animals/dogs stay due to me seeing where the bottom of the bathroom wood doors were chewed on, so those that brought their animals obviously did not bring cages to prevent this from happening, the hot tub was a bummer, it wouldn't get hot at all, but thankfully the bathtub inside did!The carpet under the dining room table was a trip hazard (curled up on the end where you walk by & the road getting up to the cabin is a pothole nightmare! Other than these few things, I would definitely recommend this cabin!

My husband and I stayed in this cabin for 3 days during our road trip across the country. Our first destination was the smokey mountains, and we wanted to stay in a cabin that gave us the true mountain experience! This cabin was exactly what we wanted and was priced great. It is secluded so you have the privacy you want, yet close enough to the towns to explore the area. The cabin itself was so cozy, clean, and relaxing! The only bummer was the hot tub only gets to a lukewarm temperature, but we still used it every night.

Although this specific cabin doesn't have a clear, full view of the mountain tops, you can walk the road further up and get the most breathtaking views! We did this each morning with our coffee- it was so relaxing and romantic. Out of our entire road trip, this was by far our favorite part. We are already planning our next trip back!

Note- Some reviews complained about the drive up to the cabin. We had an SUV and thought it was exactly what you would expect when you are literally staying in the mountain terrain. The drive is actually fun and exciting and puts it into perspective that you are staying in the mountains!

Easy, fast, and superior service from the staff at Cove Mountain. The mobile app for Cove Mountain really helped us out from directions, the door code, and things to do and places to go.

We recently stayed in Moose Tracks cabin for Thanksgiving. It was beautiful,the cabin was clean,staff very friendly and helpful.Wonderful Mountain Views.We even saw a black bear a half mile from the cabin

We stayed for 2 nights at Moose Tracks as we came through town toward Ky. The cabin is adorable. It it incredibly private. It is perfect for a couple. I have stayed with Cove Mountain one previous time and had a good experience. Will be staying again at Christmas.
