Above Awe

This cabin was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. It is perfect in every way. The views from either side of the house is astounding. We hope to come back one day, maybe in the summer.

This was our 2nd time staying at Above Awe. We love, love this cabin and the views are spectacular. We had our friends from Indiana come and spend the day with us and they were in AWE of the views and loved it there. Will definitely be back. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Wonderful time!!!

The cabin and location were wonderful, close to the park, gorgeous sunsets, and stocked for everything you need to enjoy this get away. The only thing I would suggest is attention to the pool area. It seemed in need of a good cleaning.

This cabin was amazing! It was very clean & had everything you would need to cook with and feel comfortable. The view was amazing & I didn't see one bug the whole time I was in the cabin, not even a mosquito. I would absolutely stay there again!

Gorgeous views and beautiful cabin for a relaxing stay. This cabin amazing with its views and comfortable amenities. We always stay with Cove Mountain and will stay no where else. They always provide the best cabins and service for the money and we’ve never been disappointed. We will be back for certain.

Cabin is high up on a mountain top with a wonderful view overlooking Wears Valley. Gas fireplace was nice & comfortable. Porches were nice for sitting outside

To have stunning views you have to climb. It is a steep climb but the road is wide and never scared of road or falling off the side if the mountain. Our Honda CRV had no problems. We spent several days in the cabin because it was so beautiful and comfortable we didn’t want to leave. We lived on the deck, watching the hawks fly and enjoying the fresh air and mountain breezes.

Our stay at Above Awe was mostly enjoyable. The cabin was true to the photos and was very clean. It was well stocked with everything you need for a weekend away. We enjoyed sitting around the fireplace and the view from the back porch. We had one issue with management and checkout. The guest directory book at the cabin says that checkout is at 11:00 AM. We received an angry phone call at 10:00 AM saying we needed to leave and that the guest directory book was “old”. I would recommend management keep their documents up to date and work on their customer service skills. The only other inconvenience was with taking the trash out. It is a 10 minute drive from the cabin to the dumpsters at the offices.

Our third stay at Above Awe, and it never disappoints! The view is beautiful, and having this as a quiet getaway is a wonderful balance to the busy nearby tourist destinations. Wears Valley is a perfect spot as a central point to everything in the area, with a central route into the National Park, and one of the quickest routes to Cades Cove. The valley also has several unique shops, and has a very small town feel with the locals are very friendly. We plan to continue our tradition with many more visits to come!

My husband and I stayed at "Above Awe" March 11 to March 14, 2018. We found the cabin very clean and beautiful. The views from the cabin were breathtaking. It snowed on Monday morning and then cleared that afternoon and was clear for the remainder of our stay. We spent a lot of time staring at the snow-covered mountain tops above us and the valley below. The cabin had everything we needed, and we hope to use "Above Awe" again in the future.

Above Awe was the perfect cabin for our 30th anniversary getaway! The views are incredible, the location is great, and the cabin itself is wonderfully decorated with lots of extra decorator touches. Very beautifully maintained, exceptionally designed, and oh, those spectacular views!

Absolutely loved this place. from the design and layout to the breathe taking view from the main porch. Furnished with almost everything you could need. Close enough to get things needed yet far enough away that the world doesn't even exist.

The cabin was very beautiful. The view amazing. The drive up was a little nerve racking for me but maybe not all people. A few steep climbs up the hill. The cabin was clean. The only real complaint was the bed. It was too soft for my taste. I barely slept the whole time. Maybe have a firmer mattress with the option of a mattress topper? Anyway I would still give it 4.5 out of 5. Would love to stay again

The stay was well worth it, we had an amazing time relaxing in the hot tub looking at the views. I have very few inconveniences about our stay. Firstly I think the chlorine level in the hot tub was a little higher than needed. Secondly is the main TV in the living room area was zoomed in and I tried adjusting it back to normal but there wasn't a setting for that. Thirdly very minor but the night lights all had blown bulbs, I notified the agency when we left. Other than that the stay was wonderful!

This cabin is possibly the most well-stocked rental unit that I have ever been in. The cabin had anything you could need in the kitchen, and everything was super clean. The decor is exactly what you would hope for. Lots of bears! The view from the porch was breathtaking. The ride up to the cabin was a little nerve racking, (Lots of blind curves with switchbacks) and I would be extremely nervous to drive up in ice or snow. I can only imagine what that view looks like though! We were not able to spend much time on the porch because it was very windy when we were up there, so we didn't get to enjoy much time in the hot tub. Thank you so much for renting this unit! We've been staying with Cove Mountain for over 15 years, and we have never had a bad experience. Cannot wait to come back!

We had a wonderful time at “Above Awe”. The cabin is beautiful and the views are spectacular. The kitchen is well-appointed and made cooking easy. We were able to relax here. The only very minor complaint was that the tv in the first floor bedroom didn’t work, but that didn’t matter. We would definitely stay here again.

Above Awe was everything as described. It was "beary" well decorated for a beautiful cabin in the woods. It was nestled away from all the hustle and bustle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The entire cabin was extremely clean and accommodated all of our needs throughout the week. Two areas we thought should be addressed is the "Master Bedroom" was NOT on the main floor; my wife, for medical reasons, is unable to climb stairs to the loft area. The main floor bedroom's mattress is extremely uncomfortable and should be replaced. It is uncomfortable because there are swales on either side that are conventional signals of a worn out mattress. Until we flipped the mattress, I had to sleep on the couch; my wife slept on the bed. Prior reviews from February and November 2020 noted the worn out mattress. We were hoping that by now this would have been addressed. Due to COVID-19 and variant, we chose to prepare and eat our meals in the cabin so we were unable to sample local restaurants. We toured the Smoky Mountain National Park, visiting Clingmans Dome, Cades Cove, and some of the visitor centers. We hiked trails near Elkmont Campground. The mornings and evening views from the cabin's deck were extraordinary! We were impressed by Cove Mountain Realty's quick responses to all of our messages. Responses were within the hour or the same day. On the day of our arrival, we appreciated receiving a welcome call from Jeanine asking if we had any questions. We look forward to returning in the future with our children and their families. So gorgeous! We commend Cove Mountain Realty for their smooth and professional handling of our cabin rental from start to finish.

This cabin is beautiful! One of the best I’ve ever stayed in and I get cabin several times a year. The view is gorgeous and the cabin is spotless. It’s location is between Townsend and Pigeon Forge which makes it perfect to go explore either area. It was well stocked with everything we needed. I will definitely be renting this one again!

My fiancee and I had a great time here! The night we got there was wet, dark, and foggy so the road was a little scary, but it was completely fine after that! The cabin was clean and the views were as advertised. We had a lot of fun!
